MEET
MANDY

I have been a massage therapist for 26 years, helping my clients enhance their overall well-being and quality of life.
My goal is to promote relaxation, stress relief and symptom management in a safe, comfortable and supportive environment.
Since 2019, I have been working with children with cancer as the first pediatric hematology/oncology massage therapist at University Hospital Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital.
While working with these critically ill patients, I noticed that after the diagnosis, parents forget to take care of themselves because they are focused - rightly - on their child. They become overwhelmed with taking care of their child and keeping life at home running. The stress is debilitating...

"I met Mandy at probably the most difficult time in my life - our youngest daughter Margaret had been diagnosed very suddenly with cancer, and was in the hospital with complications from chemo, right as the world was shutting down during Covid. We were already in a state of shock, and then the hospital staff had to become like family since no visitors were allowed. Mandy was a bright light during a dark time!
First of all, her work with Margaret was very significant - she was in a minimally conscious state, in the ICU, and after massage work from Mandy her heart rate and blood pressure were measurably improved. Mandy would work all day visiting inpatient adolescent and young adult cancer patients, and then set up a little massage clinic for parents at the end of her day! It was such a gift. She had a firm but caring touch that was relaxing and comforting, as was her demeanor and conversation. We’d laugh and cry and she held our hands (and massaged them!) through it all.
I am still a caregiver today, and really look forward to seeing Mandy in this new setting for a full experience."
